Share the Dignity

August 6, 2016 by Church Office

ShareTheDignityAugust is the second Share the Dignity month this year. Once again, Gungahlin Uniting Church will be a collection point. We have a white bin under the food pantry verandah that will be available 24 hours a day as well as a pink box at the office window in the foyer which is available whenever the building is open. Please think about donating sanitary items to support homeless women when they have their period. Toiletries are also welcome.

Our Church at Prayer…

August 6, 2016 by Church Office

Inviting you to think about our own church community, the wider church, the world!

  • We pray for our playgroup facilitator Cassandra, the grandparents who support and provide hospitality and the parents and grandparents who belong with their children.
  • This week we pray for Queanbeyan Uniting Church. Pray and give thanks for the many ministries of QUC, including the opening of Queanbeyan Safe Shelter. Its volunteers have been blessed and it’s been a blessing to many this winter.
  • This week we pray for Canada, United States of America- for the growing gap between rich and poor.

About GUC

We are a community on a journey, we’ve grown from a small faith community planted in Ngunnawal in the early years of Gungahlin’s development to a thriving inclusive, intergenerational & multicultural community. As Gungahlin has grown we have seen a lot of change.

We are an open and inclusive community, everyone is welcome to use their gifts in worship, prayer, leadership, hospitality and teaching.

Worship With Us

Every Sunday, 9:30am
Gungahlin Uniting Church and Community Centre
108 The Valley Avenue

Worship is for all ages, (0 to 93!) and seeks to be meaningful in different ways for us all.

In Jesus Christ we see how he drew near to each and all and so we hope our worship expresses this nearness too.
