Our Church at Prayer…

July 23, 2016 by Church Office

Inviting you to think about our own church community, the wider church, the world!

  • We pray for those we know who are unwell and struggling in life at this time. Noel Southam, Don Loughhead, Val Albrecht, Ranjini Rebera, and for those we know who aren’t named here.
  • This week we pray for the Sapphire Coast- Merimbula/Wyndham. For continued outreach into the community through volunteers in the Op Shop, Community Visitors Scheme, Pastoral Care in local hospitals and Pearls Place.
  • This week we pray for Belize, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico- for repentance and conversion of those who benefit from corruption.

Working With Vulnerable People’s Licence Renewals

July 16, 2016 by Church Office

A lot of people are now finding their WWVP licence is up for renewal. This includes many in our church. You should receive a letter from the ACT Government reminding you of this, but there is a backlog and many people are finding they do not receive the letter. If you have not received your letter you will need to go to Access Canberra (in the new Winyu House Gungahlin) and enquire there. Take your current licence. As soon as you get your renewed licence please bring a photocopy of it to give to Alison Tweedie for our records.

About GUC

We are a community on a journey, we’ve grown from a small faith community planted in Ngunnawal in the early years of Gungahlin’s development to a thriving inclusive, intergenerational & multicultural community. As Gungahlin has grown we have seen a lot of change.

We are an open and inclusive community, everyone is welcome to use their gifts in worship, prayer, leadership, hospitality and teaching.

Worship With Us

Every Sunday, 9:30am
Gungahlin Uniting Church and Community Centre
108 The Valley Avenue
Gungahlin, ACT, 2913

Worship is for all ages, (0 to 93!) and seeks to be meaningful in different ways for us all.

In Jesus Christ we see how he drew near to each and all and so we hope our worship expresses this nearness too.
