Worship on Sunday 6th November

October 31, 2016 by Church Office

9:30am All Age Worship
Rev. Mark Faulkner

Bible Readings
Haggai 1:15b-2:9; Psalm 145:1-5,17-21; Psalm 98
2 Thessalonians 2:1-5,13-17; Luke 20:27-38

This Sunday, 9.30am, we gather for worship to be a people of thankfulness, faithfulness and community. Before morning tea worship will be led by Lori Van Dore while I have breakfast with the Billabong (youth) Group! Following morning tea we will sing and pray and begin our three weeks of pondering the passage of Mary and Martha (Luke 10: 38-42.) as part of our preparation for Advent. I hope these times will be both a moment for reflection as well as for devotion and prayer.

Our Church at Prayer…

October 28, 2016 by Church Office

Inviting you to think about our own church community, the wider church, the world!

  • We pray for Don Loughhead, Val Albrecht, Milbra Peacock, Chung Kim & Sung Lee and their family. We pray for others we know who are in need at this time and for those in a challenging time of life.
  • This week we pray for the Bega-Tathra congregations. Give thanks for the number of new families that have come along, and for the next Bible Teach-In that is happening soon.
  • This week we pray for the Indian Ocean Islands: Comoros, Madagascar, Maldives, Mauritius, Seychelles.

National Church Life Survey

October 28, 2016 by Church Office

Every few years National Church Life Survey takes places amongst many churches/Christian communities around Australia. NCLS gathers people’s views on the church, faith and wider community.

Questionnaires will be handed out at the end of Sunday’s worship and they are available in English, Korean, Chinese and Arabic (still to come). There are also questionnaires for children aged from 8-14.

You can fill in your NCLS survey anytime over the next two weeks. Please place completed questionnaires in the pink box near the Minister’s door by Sunday 13th November!

About GUC

We are a community on a journey, we’ve grown from a small faith community planted in Ngunnawal in the early years of Gungahlin’s development to a thriving inclusive, intergenerational & multicultural community. As Gungahlin has grown we have seen a lot of change.

We are an open and inclusive community, everyone is welcome to use their gifts in worship, prayer, leadership, hospitality and teaching.
