What to expect

We have recommenced into gathered worship on site at Gungahlin UCA although on a different scale and format. Please refer to the Worship With Us page for current arrangements.

What To Expect

GUC strives to include and embrace all our experiences and stories in worship, we are an intergenerational community where all ages are invited to worship, sing, create, pray, learn, reflect and dream together.

Our worship services begin at 9:30am and are about 90 minutes long. Worship is a space where we gather to pray, sing, discuss scripture, share stories, learn, celebrate and eat together.

Our community is multicultural and we are blessed every week we hear the scripture read in different languages.

We often gather for morning tea in the middle of our worship service to share in community, fellowship, pass peace, meet each other and care for each other.  It also helps people get their caffeine hit earlier.

On the second Sunday of the month we worship and gather around an open table and share in communion together with bread and grape juice, afterwards our worship continues with a BBQ and morning tea where we continue to live out our faith in a warm and hospitable community.

What should I/we wear?

Anything that you’re comfortable in, jeans, trousers, skirts, dresses, t-shirts, ties, jackets, blazers, knitted jumpers and yes, you’re even able to wear Crocs or come bare foot if that’s what makes you feel comfortable, we have no uniform or expectations.

Worship with us

We have recommenced gathered worship on site at Gungahlin Uniting Church & Community Centre.

Worship seeks to be meaningful in different ways for us all. In Jesus Christ we see how he drew near to everyone, and so we hope our worship expresses this nearness too.

For more information on what worships looks like now during this time of social distancing, keep on reading.

Where Are We?

About GUC

We are a community on a journey, we’ve grown from a small faith community planted in Ngunnawal in the early years of Gungahlin’s development to a thriving inclusive, intergenerational & multicultural community. As Gungahlin has grown we have seen a lot of change.

We are an open and inclusive community, everyone is welcome to use their gifts in worship, prayer, leadership, hospitality and teaching.
