28/08/2011 by Church Office

For our GUC Community:

  • We pray for those whose lives are in the midst of change
  • We pray for the first… First Sunday Café next Sunday evening
  • We pray for our congregation as we begin in the next weeks to consider how we will be involved next year
  • We pray for those who are ill or dying at this time.
  • We pray for those who feel lonely, even within the life of our church.

For Presbytery & the wider church: Candidates for Ministry
Pray for:

  • all those preparing for ministry;
  • a willingness in more and more people to be open to the call to the specified ministries.

For our World: Czech Republic, Poland, Slovakia
Pray for:

  • Economic stability in the transition from communism to a free-market economy.
  • The poor and the elderly, who bear the brunt of economic reforms.
  • The unemployed, and all who suffer the loss of state social services.
  • The victims of anti-semitism, and ethnic, gender, and social intolerance in the midst of rising nationalism and the search for identity.
  • The environment, especially where it is heavily polluted.
  • Renewal of the church in the midst of both growing freedom and growing secularization.

About GUC

We are a community on a journey. We’ve grown from a small faith community planted in Ngunnawal in the early years of Gungahlin’s development to a thriving intergenerational and multicultural community located near the Gungahlin town centre.

Gungahlin Uniting Church is an open and inclusive community.  You are welcome to join us and participate in the life of our community as we experience life, God and seek to follow the way of Christ.

Worship With Us

Every Sunday, 9:30am
Gungahlin Uniting Church and Community Centre
108 The Valley Avenue

Worship is for all ages, (0 to 93!) and seeks to be meaningful in different ways for us all.

In Jesus Christ we see how he drew near to each and all and so we hope our worship expresses this nearness too.
