Today at Gungahlin Uniting Church!
Welcome as we all gather for worship and to share in Christian community together. Today we have morning tea in the middle of worship, after which the Oasis group (Primary aged children) meets in the courtyard rooms, Puddles (little children) will be provided with some toys at the back of the worship space as we reflect on the Gospel for this week. Everyone is welcome as we come together in God’s presence.

Grow One
At Gungahlin Uniting Church, Grow One is what we call our giving Sunday where we consider our level of giving for the coming year and the way in which we would like to give. Thank you to everyone who has responded and for your generosity to the life of your church. If you did not get a chance to indicate your level of giving then more pledge sheets and envelopes are available in the foyer. This can be done completely anonymously if you wish and your pledge sheet inside the envelope simply put in the offering bag as part of worship. If you indicated that you would like to give using dated envelopes, they are available from this week in the foyer.

Safe Church Awareness Workshops 2012
These are Synod-run workshops essential for anyone involved in ministry with young people as well as other people in leadership and pastoral roles within the congregation (eg. children/youth leaders and assistants, SRE teachers, Ministers, Elders, Church Councillors). THE COST is just $15 per person and this can be paid by the participant or the participant’s congregation. Topics covered as part of the workshop include: # Child protection # Protecting vulnerable people # Duty of care and accountability # Understanding and responding to abuse # Protective behaviours # Safe leadership strategies # Safety in programs and environments.

Photos for Wall Canvases

We are still hoping for more good quality photos, three of which will be made into wall canvases to reflect who we are as a Presbytery. Sponsored by Duncan, these first three canvases will be made and hung in Presbytery Office for six months. After six months, the canvases will be given to the winner to keep, sell or give away and the invitation will be repeated.
