For our GUC Community:
- We pray for the children in this early part of the year and for those who have begun in new groups, schools, colleges and universities.
- We pray for those amongst us who feel at this time the struggle of life.
- We give thanks for those who are new or visiting our congregation.
- We pray for people who are new to the area of Gungahlin and who are settling into life here.
- We continue to pray for Jim Watt and Marion who supports him.
For Presbytery & the wider church: Emergency Service Chaplains
Pray for:
- Please pray for our Emergency Service Chaplains, Phil Anderson and Kerry Bartlett. Pray for establishment of rapport with paramedics, fire-fighters, people in management roles and volunteers.
For our World: France, Germany
Pray for:
- The struggle to unite east and west in Germany, that the gap between the rich and poor may decrease and that all citizens be treated with justice.
- Revitalization of the church amid increasing secularism and atheism.
- The environment, particularly in the eastern half of Germany, with its ageing factories and lack of pollution controls.
- Refugees and immigrants who often face discrimination and racism.
- The unemployed and those who face economic uncertainty in the midst of globalization.
