What lies ahead at GUC?

August 13, 2016 by Church Office

Over the coming weeks and months there are a few things happening which you may want to know about.

Billabong Big Break is over the weekend of 26th-28th August. Our service will be led by Ron and Margaret Reeson.

Saturday 3rd September. Spring BBQ Breakfast for everyone @ 9.30am! This is to celebrate our work with the Mustard Seed Uniting Food Pantry & Garden. Many from the wider community will also be coming along.

Mark will be away on five weeks of holidays from 10th September – 11th October. Throughout this time worship will be led by various members of the congregation. If in this time you have any administrative questions please speak with Alison Tweedie (office@web1.gungahlinuniting.org). If you have any pastoral needs there are people in the congregation for support and conversation; Heather Lamb & Margaret Reeson. Part of this time will be school holidays and others may be away too. During this time Mark & Peta-Gai will be overseas.

Volunteering in 2017. Each year at GUC we ask everyone to consider if and how you would like to be involved in the coming year. We also elect people to support our congregation through the Church Council. Our Volunteer and Church Council nomination forms will be coming out in early September.

AGM! The date for our AGM is 6th November… just before ADVENT!!!

About GUC

We are a community on a journey, we’ve grown from a small faith community planted in Ngunnawal in the early years of Gungahlin’s development to a thriving inclusive, intergenerational & multicultural community. As Gungahlin has grown we have seen a lot of change.

We are an open and inclusive community, everyone is welcome to use their gifts in worship, prayer, leadership, hospitality and teaching.

Worship With Us

Every Sunday, 9:30am
Gungahlin Uniting Church and Community Centre
108 The Valley Avenue
Gungahlin, ACT, 2913

Worship is for all ages, (0 to 93!) and seeks to be meaningful in different ways for us all.

In Jesus Christ we see how he drew near to each and all and so we hope our worship expresses this nearness too.
