Bulletin – 08 May 2011

08/05/2011 by Church Office

Today…
please feel free to stay with us for a light BBQ lunch following worship.

Billabong – Today
Billabong for high school youth meets today from 2-4 for games. The older youth will be involved in a simulation game that will give some thought to difficult choices in a complex world. If you would like to bring some biscuits for afternoon tea then please feel free to do so. See you there!

Finish the Landscaping – Next Saturday!
We may not succeed but we will give it an almighty shake!
Wanted:
1. Able bodied and general volunteers, say 4 people at a time
2. People to assist/provide morning tea and lunch.
When:
Next Saturday 14th, 8am to 3pm or part thereof
Task:
To “tidy up” around where the bobcat goes, remove bricks & building waste from the same areas (so that we can get rid of the excess dirt as ‘clean fill’). Help commence some paving paths around the back. Just help in whatever way you can.
Skill required:
Common sense and willingness to follow orders
Reward:
High quality morning tea and lunch. Good companionship.

If you can help please advise Ron Reeson –
Ph 6262 3677 Email: rdreeson@bigpond.com

With Love to the World…
With Love to the World is available in the foyer for $4. This is a devotional guide published by the Uniting Church and has a short passage, thought and prayer for each day of the week, using the readings that we use each Sunday in worship. If you would like a copy, please just take one and put your $4 in the box.

A time to talk!
An afternoon of conversation and reflection on GUCCC, including afternoon tea, will be held on Sunday 22nd. May, 2.30pm – 5pm.
Everyone is encouraged to come along.
– This will be a time for conversation; not mission planning or butcher’s paper!
– This will be a time to talk about how we have felt about the past year.
– This will be a time to pray.
– This will be a time to talk with each other about worship, pastoral care, children and youth.

About GUC

We are a community on a journey. We’ve grown from a small faith community planted in Ngunnawal in the early years of Gungahlin’s development to a thriving intergenerational and multicultural community located near the Gungahlin town centre.

Gungahlin Uniting Church is an open and inclusive community.  You are welcome to join us and participate in the life of our community as we experience life, God and seek to follow the way of Christ.
