This week at Gungahlin Uniting…Today is the 3rd. Sunday in the month. This means that we all worship together for the first half before we share in morning tea. Following morning tea Oasis (primary aged) meets in the courtyard rooms, Billabong (Teenagers) meet with Jacquie (meet in foyer to begin) and in the auditorium there is the message and reflection on the Gospel.

Good Friday 9.30am.
A service of music, readings, and communion, followed by hot cross buns.

Sunday evenings in Lent @ Gungahlin Uniting
Lent is the period of 40 days before Easter and Throughout Lent, each Sunday, you are invited to a Bible Conversation in which we will simply discuss the Gospel reading for that Sunday. The Bible Conversation is from 5-6pm. Following this, if you wish, please stay for sandwiches and a cup of tea – please bring a plate if you are able. Then from 7-8pm there will be a new opportunity to worship in a creative, contemporary, informal way. Everyone is welcome!

Pub Book Reading Group
Each second Wednesday from 7pm the Pub Book Reading Group meets at George Harcourt Inn for a meal and conversation centred around a book. The book we are about to begin reflects on the relationship between different religions and explores the heart of Islam at a time when there are strong influences and opinions. If you are interested, please speak with Rob Tanton.

Apple Day!
Don’t forget Loriendale Orchard Apple Day on Saturday 31st. March. Apple Day along with North Belconnen Uniting Church supports a number of Uniting Church community projects!

With Love to the World
With Love to the World is a daily devotional following the readings we use in worship each week. Copies are available in the foyer for only $4.

About GUC

We are a community on a journey, we’ve grown from a small faith community planted in Ngunnawal in the early years of Gungahlin’s development to a thriving inclusive, intergenerational & multicultural community. As Gungahlin has grown we have seen a lot of change.

We are an open and inclusive community, everyone is welcome to use their gifts in worship, prayer, leadership, hospitality and teaching.

Worship is for all ages, (0 to 93!) and seeks to be meaningful in different ways for us all.
