An Advent booklet has been prepared for everyone at GUC who would like to have small opportunities for reflection each day throughout the season. These will be given out, beginning next Sunday. Each day in Advent has a short reading, a reflection thought, and a brief prayer. As part of this there will be two opportunities for us to ponder Advent as a group. Join us for lunch to celebrate the start of Advent. After Church on Sunday 29 November we’ll gather together as a community to share lunch. Bring a dish to share – either a main or dessert – nominate which type on the lists in the foyer.

Next Sunday, 8^th, we will have our service of Commitment to Christ in which we all affirm our part in the life of the church and the way we all serve in different ways.  We will pray for our new Church Council and affirm them in their role to build the congregation up in faith and love.  Together we make our commitment to Christ as followers along the way.  We will also share in communion and follow this with our BBQ lunch.
