GUC will be looking to employ a book keeper early 2019, the role is 5 hours a week and would be great for people with previous experience and skills in operating MYOB and organisations like the church.
Expressions of Interest to Darren Wright or Matt Grudnoff.
Food Garden co-ordinator. Ngaire has been co-ordinating our food garden for nearly three years. During this time she has tirelessly worked in the garden and also met and given guidance to the many volunteers who have worked alongside her, including a small group of school students.
Each week the garden provides a small amount of produce that is used in our Food Pantry. Thank you Ngaire for your commitment, time, dedication and love to the garden and those involved.
[Read more…]Some years we find it hard to feel cheerful or festive at Christmas.
It may be a time of sadness and loss. It may be a time of worry. It may be a time of loneliness. It may be a time of stress. Perhaps for you it may be the worst, not the best of times.
If this is true for you, you are invited to a ‘Blue Christmas’ service at Gungahlin Uniting Church Sunday evening 23 December at 6.00 pm. It will be a time for quiet reflection, community and listening to music as we remember that Jesus came into our world as God-with-us.
Over Christmas and January, if you are able to come down at a time that suits you and do some hand watering in the food garden that would be very much appreciated.
Please talk with Darren if you are interested in helping out in this way.
We are a community on a journey. We’ve grown from a small faith community planted in Ngunnawal in the early years of Gungahlin’s development to a thriving intergenerational and multicultural community located near the Gungahlin town centre.
Gungahlin Uniting Church is an open and inclusive community. You are welcome to join us and participate in the life of our community as we experience life, God and seek to follow the way of Christ.
Every Sunday, 9:30am

Worship is for all ages, (0 to 93!) and seeks to be meaningful in different ways for us all.
In Jesus Christ we see how he drew near to each and all and so we hope our worship expresses this nearness too.
We worship at the Gungahlin Uniting Church & Community Centre.
