Who Are We?

We try to live out God’s hospitality, inclusion and love as a diverse community.

We are people of different ages and stages of life (literally, we are aged 0 to 93),

We are an inclusive and open community, everyone is welcome to participate and lead.

We are people who have come from many christian traditions, other faiths and people who have come from none. We respect and welcome people from other faith traditions.

Some of us are children, some of us have children, some of us do not.

We are people of many languages, races, experiences and stories.

We look after each other, care for each other and pray for each other.

We are open to wrestle with the mystery of the bible, and open to the inspiration of the spirit to ask difficult questions.

Many of us are creative and/or musical and try to use these gifts in worship.

Many of us love long walks and hikes, many of us do not.

Some of us are introverts, others extroverts and many of us are somewhere in-between.

Some of us have a strong faith that has existed for decades, some of us have doubts, none of us have figured everything out.

Some of us love a good coffee, some of us love chai, some of us love a cool glass of water.

We are politically diverse, some of us voted Labor, some of us voted Liberal, some of us voted Greens.

We are open to discussion, dialogue and the sharing of ideas, stories and dreams.

We are people from all over Canberra, from both the north and the south.

No matter who you are, where you come from or where you are on life’s journey, you are welcome at Gungahlin Uniting Church. None of us have all of life or faith figured out, and we’d love to welcome you as a part of our community.

About GUC

We are a community on a journey, we’ve grown from a small faith community planted in Ngunnawal in the early years of Gungahlin’s development to a thriving inclusive, intergenerational & multicultural community. As Gungahlin has grown we have seen a lot of change.

We are an open and inclusive community, everyone is welcome to use their gifts in worship, prayer, leadership, hospitality and teaching.

Worship With Us

Every Sunday, 9:30am
Gungahlin Uniting Church and Community Centre
108 The Valley Avenue
Gungahlin, ACT, 2913

Worship is for all ages, (0 to 93!) and seeks to be meaningful in different ways for us all.

In Jesus Christ we see how he drew near to each and all and so we hope our worship expresses this nearness too.
