A Message from the JNC

August 4, 2017 by Church Office

Calling a new minister: The Joint Nominating Committee, which was elected by the GUC congregation to seek a new minister, has met several times. They have already met with one person for a conversation and have an appointment to meet a second person. When there are signs of a possible good match between a minister and GUC, there will be further conversations with that person. In time, a name will be brought to the congregation for confirmation. While this work is going on, we are grateful to have the ministry of Rev Dr Jonathan Barker over the next few months.

Greetings to the Gungahlin Uniting community

August 4, 2017 by Church Office

It was so good to be welcomed last Sunday. I already feel “at home”. I look forward to getting to know you all as best as I can.

As a Supply Minister, it is expected that I shall be doing the core tasks of leading worship and sharing with the worship team, respond to pastoral needs as they arise, support the officers and staff of the church and be involved in activities as appropriate.

About GUC

We are a community on a journey, we’ve grown from a small faith community planted in Ngunnawal in the early years of Gungahlin’s development to a thriving inclusive, intergenerational & multicultural community. As Gungahlin has grown we have seen a lot of change.

We are an open and inclusive community, everyone is welcome to use their gifts in worship, prayer, leadership, hospitality and teaching.

Worship With Us

Every Sunday, 9:30am
Gungahlin Uniting Church and Community Centre
108 The Valley Avenue

Worship is for all ages, (0 to 93!) and seeks to be meaningful in different ways for us all.

In Jesus Christ we see how he drew near to each and all and so we hope our worship expresses this nearness too.
