Lent at Gungahlin Uniting Church

February 25, 2017 by Church Office

Lent is a time of 40 days before Easter and is part of the life of the church worldwide. In lent we reflect on the journey of Jesus towards the cross and it is a time for us to ponder our own faith journeys. Lent begins this year on Wednesday 1st March, which is called Ash Wednesday. On Ash Wednesday there will be a short gathering at 8pm here at the church for anyone who wants to come along. At this service we recall our own mortality as we start the journey with Christ towards the cross.

Welcome to Worship at Gungahlin Uniting Church

February 25, 2017 by Church Office

Welcome to worship this week at Gungahlin Uniting. We seek to be inclusive of many different people from diverse countries, languages, theologies, life experiences and ages. We hope you feel welcome and find a word of grace for your lives. Each week we usually have morning tea in the middle of worship followed by Oasis (our group for primary aged children) and Billabong (for our youth). In the main worship space after morning tea there are readings and a message and a time of prayer for others. This is the way we usually gather over any month… [Read more…]

About GUC

We are a community on a journey, we’ve grown from a small faith community planted in Ngunnawal in the early years of Gungahlin’s development to a thriving inclusive, intergenerational & multicultural community. As Gungahlin has grown we have seen a lot of change.

We are an open and inclusive community, everyone is welcome to use their gifts in worship, prayer, leadership, hospitality and teaching.
