Our Church at Prayer…

May 7, 2016 by Church Office

Inviting you to think about our own church community, the wider church, the world!

  • We pray for our Playgroup leader Cassandra, for our Boy’s Brigade and Girls’ Brigade leaders, especially Bruce, Salesi, Alistair and Steph and for all who help and support them. We pray for our Church Council as we consider the applications for our Church Life Worker (Community and Care)
  • This week we pray for Goulburn, Parkesbourne/Merilla, Marulan/Big Hill Congregations . Pray for Minister, Julie, as she seeks to provide pastoral care across a large number of congregations; for Church Council and Leadership groups.
  • This week we pray for Sudan, South Sudan, Uganda. For those taking care of refugees and those working to make peace agreements.

Worship at Gungahlin Uniting…

May 7, 2016 by Church Office

Worship at Gungahlin Uniting is for all ages and seeks to be meaningful in different ways for us all. In Jesus Christ we see how he drew near to each and all and so we hope our worship expresses this nearness too. Each week we usually have morning tea in the middle of worship followed by Oasis (our group for primary aged children) and Billabong (for our youth). Billabong News!

May 7, 2016 by Church Office

*Third Sunday conversation groups!

On the third Sunday of each month [next week] Billabong (our youth group year 6+) meet together as a group after morning tea! After some conversations with parents, Billabongers and leaders, we’ve decided there will still be a conversation group on the third Sunday, but it will be divided into the boys and the girls. Rowan Ford will lead the boy’s group and Margaret Ford will lead the girls group. Thank you to everyone for their participation and support!

About GUC

We are a community on a journey, we’ve grown from a small faith community planted in Ngunnawal in the early years of Gungahlin’s development to a thriving inclusive, intergenerational & multicultural community. As Gungahlin has grown we have seen a lot of change.

We are an open and inclusive community, everyone is welcome to use their gifts in worship, prayer, leadership, hospitality and teaching.
