Welcome to Gungahlin Uniting Church
Every week at this church there are new people as well as those who have been here for many years. There are young and old. There are many different traditions and cultures. Together we make a Christian community. Welcome to everyone.

Today our Minister meets with the Billabong (Youth) in the first half of worship while worship is led by Margaret Reeson. Then we will have morning tea in the middle of worship. After morning tea we all meet back in the main worship space. Today there will be no Oasis group (primary aged children).

With Love to the World
The latest edition of With Love to the World is now available in the foyer. With Love to the World is a short daily devotional guide with a reading, reflection and prayers suggestion for each day of the week. The readings each week match the readings we often use in church on the Sunday. If you would like a copy feel free to take one. If you would like to put $4 in the box next to this month’s edition that would be welcomed.

Welcome to Gungahlin Uniting Church
Today in the life of the church throughout the world is Palm Sunday. Palm Sunday is the Sunday before Easter where we recall the account of Jesus entering Jerusalem for the last time before his death on the cross. Welcome as we share in this time of worship together. At Gungahlin Uniting we usually have morning tea together in the middle of worship. Following morning tea there is Oasis for primary school aged children in the courtyard rooms at the end of the passage. Billabong youth all meet with their mentors. There is also an opportunity to reflect upon the Gospel for today, along with song and prayer, back in the main worship space.

Spring Getaway
Would you be interested in helping organise a Spring Getaway? 18 months ago we had a getaway in early November at Fitzroy Falls which was both relaxing and encouraging. Our getaways are designed for all ages, to be relaxing, creative, and fun. If you would be interested in helping organise, just pop your name on the sheet in the foyer.

Welcome to Gungahlin Uniting Church
Today in worship we all gather as one. Young and old, people from all nations, people of different understandings, long-time members and newcomers, we all gather to worship God. In worship today we receive communion and everyone is invited to come forward to share in the bread and wine. Following worship there is morning tea and a light BBQ lunch to which you are all invited.

A Lenten evening with meal and meaning
This Lent you are invited to come along for a shared evening meal and a time of reflection and worship around the theme: “meeting Christ on the road…” This will be an evening of food, reflective conversation and worship and of course all ages are welcome. Sunday 17th. March, 5-8pm. You are invited to bring a plate of food either from your own culture, or reflecting Middle Eastern food (dips, breads, lamb, vine leaves)… but you do not have to bring food to come along… there will always be plenty.

About GUC

We are a community on a journey, we’ve grown from a small faith community planted in Ngunnawal in the early years of Gungahlin’s development to a thriving inclusive, intergenerational & multicultural community. As Gungahlin has grown we have seen a lot of change.

We are an open and inclusive community, everyone is welcome to use their gifts in worship, prayer, leadership, hospitality and teaching.
