April 8, 2017 by Church Office

Gungahlin Uniting Church will be holding a stall at the Festival, to be held on Saturday 29 April from 10am – 3pm at Gungahlin Town Square (outside the library and Gungahlin College). We will be having a cake stall and promoting GUC’s various programs and services.

If you can assist by providing goods for the cake stall and/or volunteering to staff the stall for a couple of hours, please see/call/email Elizabeth Phythian and/or add your name to the lists in the foyer.

Thanks in advance!

A message from Mark

March 31, 2017 by Church Office

Hello Friends,

On Thursday 23rd I met with the Church Council and Sunday 26th I announced to the congregation that I have been asked to take on another position within the life of the Uniting Church, which I have accepted. This means that I will be leaving Gungahlin Uniting by the middle of the year. This has not been an easy time for me personally as I have thought through this change, but I do sense there is something of God in the road that lies ahead. The new position I have been asked to fill is to establish a team who will work creatively with the many rural congregations and Christian communities who have no strong leadership or Ministry at this time.

March 31, 2017 by Church Office

Over the past year we have been thankful for the work of Riyadh who has been our gardener and kept our church grounds looking so tidy. Riyadh also helped in the food garden and constructed our food garden shed. Riyadh has decided to conclude his work with us, but we will still see him on Sunday’s for worship.

About GUC

We are a community on a journey, we’ve grown from a small faith community planted in Ngunnawal in the early years of Gungahlin’s development to a thriving inclusive, intergenerational & multicultural community. As Gungahlin has grown we have seen a lot of change.

We are an open and inclusive community, everyone is welcome to use their gifts in worship, prayer, leadership, hospitality and teaching.
