Worship on Sunday 26th March

20/03/2017 by Church Office

9:30am All Age Worship
Rev. Mark Faulkner

Bible Readings
1 Samuel 16:1-13; Psalm 23
Ephesians 5:8-14; John 9:1-41

9.30am is all age worship! In the first half we will all be together for worship with morning tea in the middle. After morning tea Billabong will meet with their Mentors and Oasis will meet as a group with their leaders. In the main worship space our message will be brought to us by Brett Marshall. Together, young and old, we will be pondering the Gospel reading for the week; John 9: 1-14.

At 5:00pm I will be holding a Bible conversation on The Way of Suffering; pondering Christ in the Garden of Gethsemane and from this account our own suffering and the suffering of the world. This time together is easy to come along to even if you just want to listen. All are welcome.

I look forward to seeing you.

We need help…..

27/02/2017 by Church Office

Managing our property is an important task and at present we only have three people on our Property Team and we would like more to help share the load. The Property Team handles all things related to our property ranging from routine repairs to new initiatives such pergolas, car park extensions etc.
It is a practical, satisfying way to help out around the church.
Please contact Chris Dodd.

Also, thank you to those of you who responded to our request for someone to look at what is involved in selling the manse. We will have more to say on this after Church Council on 23 March.

Snakes!

25/02/2017 by Church Office

Remember, although our church is in the town centre, it is also in the paddock! Be aware that our location is ideal for snakes. Please take care in the carpark and around the Food Pantry building.
Adults, please all take responsibility to check the playground before children go out to play!

About GUC

We are a community on a journey. We’ve grown from a small faith community planted in Ngunnawal in the early years of Gungahlin’s development to a thriving intergenerational and multicultural community located near the Gungahlin town centre.

Gungahlin Uniting Church is an open and inclusive community.  You are welcome to join us and participate in the life of our community as we experience life, God and seek to follow the way of Christ.
