Oasis Helpers

December 9, 2016 by Church Office

Oasis is our primary aged children’s group which meets following morning tea on most Sundays of school term.

Each week we need to have two designated adults leading this group; one who prepares and leads and one who helps on the day. We also do not expect our Oasis leaders and helpers to be in their role all year, but to be rostered on term by term about.

Gungahlin Uniting Christmas Postcards

December 9, 2016 by Church Office

The postcard included in Sunday’s bulletin is not for you, but for you to give to someone else. Bundles of them are available in the foyer for you to take and put in random letter boxes on your evening walks. If you don’t go on evening walks, then now is a great time to start. Or… you can give them to your friends and family. Or… you can give them to the people you work with. You never know who you might invite, even unintentionally, who will be encouraged through worship this Christmas. Please take a bundle Sunday!

Our Church at Prayer…

December 9, 2016 by Church Office

Inviting you to think about our own church community, the wider church, the world!
prayer

  • We pray for the children and families who are involved in our church and for the leaders of Playgroup, Oasis, Billabong, Boy’s and Girl’s Brigades. We give thanks for their part and the encouragement they bring.
  • This week we pray for the Eden Congregation, for all volunteers involved in community programs including Beach Mission.
  • This week we pray for Cape Verde, The Gambia, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Senegal. Pray for all who suffer the effects of water shortages and long-term drought.

About GUC

We are a community on a journey, we’ve grown from a small faith community planted in Ngunnawal in the early years of Gungahlin’s development to a thriving inclusive, intergenerational & multicultural community. As Gungahlin has grown we have seen a lot of change.

We are an open and inclusive community, everyone is welcome to use their gifts in worship, prayer, leadership, hospitality and teaching.

Worship With Us

Every Sunday, 9:30am
Gungahlin Uniting Church and Community Centre
108 The Valley Avenue

Worship is for all ages, (0 to 93!) and seeks to be meaningful in different ways for us all.

In Jesus Christ we see how he drew near to each and all and so we hope our worship expresses this nearness too.
