You are invited to a meeting to endorse our Church Profile and our nominees to the Joint Nominating Committee.

The draft profile (including the list of nominees for the JNC) will be sent out to you on 7 May so you will have 2 weeks to get acquainted with it

Inviting you to think about our own church community the wider church, the world!

• We pray for our Church Council which meets tomorrow night (Monday) to continue discussing the process of calling a new Minister to Gungahlin Uniting Church. Please pray for our Chairperson Chris, Secretary Heather, Treasurer Randy, Ngaire, Lori, Elina and Margaret.
• This week we pray for our Canberra Region Presbytery, for new committee members elected recently and for ongoing members.
• This week we pray for Bulgaria, Hungary, Romania. Give thanks for the faithful witness of churches amid political changes and those working for more democratic governance in these countries.

Palm Sunday events for Refugees are taking place on Sunday 9th April all around the country. People from all walks of life, community organisations and faith groups gather each year to remember the plight of refugees and to call upon governments to act with greater responsibility and compassion.

This year’s gathering will be at 1pm, next Sunday 9^th April, in Civic Square.

All are welcome to gather.

This is an opportunity for reflective worship, listening to music, silence and prayer, and faith conversation. Easy to come along to and all are invited. Following, for any who would like, we walk down to a local restaurant to share a meal together.
