Greetings to the Gungahlin Uniting Church community

06/05/2018 by Church Office

This Sunday 6th May Margaret Reeson will lead the first half of worship while our minister Darren has breakfast with the Billabong Youth Group in the multipurpose room. Darren returns with the message after morning tea while Oasis for primary aged children meet; thank you to Dawn and Katrina who are leading Oasis this term.

First Sunday Converse and Cafe meets at 6 pm at the church for a smaller worship gathering that is conversational, reflective and prayerful, with the option of joining together for a meal in the town centre afterwards for those who would like to stay on. Everyone is welcome!

With Love to the World

28/04/2018 by Church Office

The latest copy of With Love to the World is available from today. With Love to the World is a Uniting Church publication and leads readers through a daily devotion. The Bible passages are those set down for worship each Sunday in addition to a short reflection and prayer suggestion.

If you would like a copy please find them on the table near the front door.

Save used stamps and help raise funds

28/04/2018 by Church Office

It doesn’t take long to set aside old or used stamps. By doing so you can help raise funds to enable the work of the Uniting Church, particularly Uniting, Uniting Mission and Education, and Frontier Services. Since 1977 UCA Stamp Committee has raised $714,201 through stamp sales. They allocated $17,075 to a range of community/outreach projects, including GUC’s Mustard Seed Food Pantry.

You can help by removing the stamps (Australian or international) from your mail. Please carefully tear or cut around the stamp, leaving at least one centimetre (half an inch) of surrounding paper. Leave your stamps at the church office, or pass them to Brooke K.

For more information, see The Stamp Committee.

About GUC

We are a community on a journey. We’ve grown from a small faith community planted in Ngunnawal in the early years of Gungahlin’s development to a thriving intergenerational and multicultural community located near the Gungahlin town centre.

Gungahlin Uniting Church is an open and inclusive community.  You are welcome to join us and participate in the life of our community as we experience life, God and seek to follow the way of Christ.
