When Christmas Hurts

December 5, 2018 by Church Office

Some years we find it hard to feel cheerful or festive at Christmas.

It may be a time of sadness and loss. It may be a time of worry. It may be a time of loneliness. It may be a time of stress. Perhaps for you it may be the worst, not the best of times.

If this is true for you, you are invited to a ‘Blue Christmas’ service at Gungahlin Uniting Church Sunday evening 23 December at 6.00 pm. It will be a time for quiet reflection, community and listening to music as we remember that Jesus came into our world as God-with-us.

Watering the Food Garden

December 5, 2018 by Church Office

Over Christmas and January, if you are able to come down at a time that suits you and do some hand watering in the food garden that would be very much appreciated.
Please talk with Darren if you are interested in helping out in this way.

Everything in Common Gift Stall

November 10, 2018 by Church Office

Beginning to think about gift-giving for Christmas? Disturbed by waste on gifts that have limited usefulness? Wondering about what to do about family members who ‘have everything’?

Here is an alternative.

About GUC

We are a community on a journey, we’ve grown from a small faith community planted in Ngunnawal in the early years of Gungahlin’s development to a thriving inclusive, intergenerational & multicultural community. As Gungahlin has grown we have seen a lot of change.

We are an open and inclusive community, everyone is welcome to use their gifts in worship, prayer, leadership, hospitality and teaching.

Worship With Us

Every Sunday, 9:30am
Gungahlin Uniting Church and Community Centre
108 The Valley Avenue
Gungahlin, ACT, 2913

Worship is for all ages, (0 to 93!) and seeks to be meaningful in different ways for us all.

In Jesus Christ we see how he drew near to each and all and so we hope our worship expresses this nearness too.
