Greetings to the Gungahlin Uniting Church community

09/03/2018 by Church Office

Everyone is warmly welcomed to join in our Communion service this Sunday 11th March. Darren will be leading the service and bringing the message.

With many of our regular volunteers away for the long weekend there will be no BBQ and we will have morning tea at the end of the service.

Some notes from the bulletin attached:

  • Singing group meets following the service.
  • Please see Liz if you can help with the juniors in Girls’ Brigade.
  • Tuesday’s Bible conversation at 7.30 pm on 13th March will explore “Courage and Risk” – all welcome
  • You are invited to attend the Service of Commissioning for Darren at GUCCC on Saturday 17th March at 3 pm.
  • If you area able to assist with afternoon tea on 17th March please add your name to the list in the foyer or contact Shirley and Elizabeth.
  • Please pray for our neighbours and consider how you may support them through the PNG Highlands Earthquake Appeal and Lent Event with a focus on the Pacific and recovery following Cyclone Gita (details in the bulletin).

Everyone is welcome to Worship each Sunday at 9.30 am

Food Basket as part of our offering

02/03/2018 by Church Office

The congregation at Gungahlin Uniting has throughout its life had a basket where members can bring and leave food each week. Food that fills the basket is taken to our Food Pantry where customers come each week to get groceries. We bring the basket forward each week because the food we bring is part of our offering and part of our work as a church. Please remember the basket and the way you can support the food pantry and through it encourage others who are in need at this time. Bring along any non-perishable food items and place them in the basket as you come into worship as part of your offering each week!

About GUC

We are a community on a journey. We’ve grown from a small faith community planted in Ngunnawal in the early years of Gungahlin’s development to a thriving intergenerational and multicultural community located near the Gungahlin town centre.

Gungahlin Uniting Church is an open and inclusive community.  You are welcome to join us and participate in the life of our community as we experience life, God and seek to follow the way of Christ.
